Eat meat, get healthy.

See if you should "Go Carnivore"

Register your interest in the “Go Carnivore for 30 days” program starting September 2020

Feel like you’ve tried every diet under the sun and NOTHING resolves your health and weight issues?

How’s your digestion? Jeans too tight because you suffer from a daily bloat, or worse constipation? Ever done that embarrassing run to the toilet thinking you may not make it? Or are you that person at the end of the meal who’s always excusing yourself because you’re burping non-stop and feel like you need something to relieve your reflux, heart burn or indigestion?

And when the day hits 3-4pm, are you that “reliable” person who does a coffee run because you’re in desperate need of a coffee or sugar pick-me-up? Without it, you’re unproductive and sleepy, but with it, you’re a little jittery and wired?

Are you that grump who hates mornings, (again reaching for that coffee) and believes that you’re a night owl because as soon as the evening hits, you wake up, getting that “second-wind” and think that you should use this much-needed energy to get sh*t done but then either crash out and wake foggy as anything OR can’t fall asleep and wake up during the night? You then don’t feel normal and get anything done until mid-morning (or after a couple of coffees), the brain fog is a daily experience which sometimes leads you to being moody, maybe even a little depressed/down or snapping at people you love and then regretting it instantly but can’t control it?

And ladies, what about your period? Hate it?! Wish you were a guy so you didn’t have to experience it? Is your partner quick to say that you’ve got a mean case of PMS, or can he/she tell when you’re about to cycle because you’re a moody, chocolate-craving beast? Do you know when it’s coming or do you suddenly get an embarrassing and unprepared shock one day?! And how about those boobs? Do they hurt when you sleep and shower? Do your cramps bloat you and kick your a** back into bed, make you cancel on your friends? Bleed heavily, very little or not at all? And how about that embarrassing and painful cystic acne?! Isn’t that something only teenagers get?! Or maybe you’ve even been diagnosed with a condition like PCOS or endometriosis and the doctor tells you that you may never have kids…

Men, how’s your libido?! Ever had that moment where you’re in the throws of passion and you can’t quite keep UP the momentum (if you know what I mean)?! Or maybe you’re embarrassed to take off your shirt and go swimming in the summer because of your recent development in the “breastal” region… or for fear of people teasing you for looking several months pregnant because of that beer belly… Or are you just struggling to keep fit the older you get? Those protein powders give you gas and don’t help you get as ripped in the gym as they tell you they will…

Alternatively you may have been diagnosed with an Autoimmune disease like Hashimoto’s, Grave’s, Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s, Multiple sclerosis or even Type 1 diabetes and life just sucks. You’re fatigued all the time and pain is something you deal with on the regular. You want to be there for your friends and family, be the bright spark you once were but you seem to have lost that person…

Health issues seem to never end…

All of the above symptoms are SO common today, for men and women, and most of them stem from digestive issues and nutrient deficiencies. What’s worse though is they become embarrassing, frustrating, painful, even scary, not to mention how much they end up taking over our lives and causing us to cancel on loved ones or just not be present.

And so what does one do if they have these issues? Go to your doctor who will tell you to take a pill to help (mask) your symptoms? Have a bunch of tests done which then leaves you with a diagnosis that still has very little in terms of answers or the tests are inconclusive and leave you with a massive ?question mark? about what to do next… you can go around and around and around in circles trying to get answers and trying a bunch of therapies always feeling like you’re hitting your head against a brick wall, with no real progress ever taking place…

I know exactly how you feel…

My story involves all of this: the doctors, the gastroenterologist, the (conventionally-trained) dietician, the hospital tests and exploratory procedures, the just being told that I have to live with my symptoms and manage them without any clear direction. It freakin’ sucked and it made me feel hopeless.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. You CAN manage your symptoms and heal. Seriously.

Or, you can just not be bloated and gassy all the time. You can poop regularly and normally, each day. You can make it through the day without coffee (if you choose), but not RELY on coffee and sugar to get you through. You can sleep well and think clearly and power through all the work you have to do, be the MOST productive you’ve ever been in your life. If female, you can have a normal cycle. If male, you can out-perform your 25 year old self. You can lose weight and feel sexy again. You can be there for your family and friends when they need you.

You deserve all of this and more.

Because it’s not normal to have all of these symptoms. It’s your body’s way of communicating with you, telling you to listen to what it has to say. That it’s here for you, it has your back, it wants you to thrive but it wants you to change things up, do something different to get there.

So what do you have to do?

Nourish your body.

That sounds incredibly simplistic but it’s what your body wants. After all, it’s just a bunch of cells and bacteria breaking down food into chemical elements and conducting all of these awesome processes to keep you alive and in homeostasis… but when you stopped giving it the nutrients (the fuel) that it needed to maintain that balance, it stopped being able to perform all those functions.

But it’s not your fault.

You didn’t know that the fuel you were giving your body was not the right fuel.

You’ve been told for years that you should eat less meat, eat less fat, consume more vegetable oils and eat carbs and sugar for energy.

They even made a whole food pyramid about it, remember!

And for those of you who are here because you know all about healthy living and eating, you are likely all over the concept of nourishing your body, but maybe you’re still unwell, still looking for answers.

You healthy folk know about healthy fats (including saturated fats from animal products), you know about the benefits of grass-fed over grain-fed.

You already buy organic and non GMO, you’ve quit sugar and know all about the super-foods.

You eat low carb and have followed the movement online. You probably even know about ketosis and how to get there.

And you probably even feel the best you’ve ever felt, but maybe you’re still struggling. There are still symptoms that won’t go away completely.

What does your body want?

Do you just need more time? Do you need more supplements? Do you need more tests? Or do you need more nourishment?

But there’s one thing that you haven’t tried. There’s one lifestyle that is becoming the most popular one out there…one that is changing people’s lives, giving them back their freedom, helping them heal from all of their digestive issues, re-balancing their hormones, losing their weight, healing their auto-immune conditions, getting their sexy back and above all NOURISHING them!

It’s the Carnivore diet!

Yes! An all meat diet may just be the solution for you!

I know you’re curious – you’ve made it all the way to the end of this page!

But, you may not still be convinced that you can do it or that it’s good for you.

So why did I Go Carnivore?

I’ve been sugar free, low carb and keto. I kept changing direction and progressing and my health kept evolving; with each year, I kept healing.

When I heard about carnivore, I was very dubious. I heard a podcast between Robb Wolf and Dr. Shawn Baker in March 2018. But everyone in the keto world was saying that excess protein leads to the conversion of glucose and knocks you out of ketosis. Some people are still saying this.

In my opinion though, the goal of health isn’t to be in ketosis all the time. It’s about metabolic flexibility: the ability to go in and out of ketosis. To burn (body) fat when you need and make/use/store glucose appropriately. A body that can easily metabolize all types of food and use/create all necessary nutrients. Or, if the food is not consumed (in the case of carbs and sugar), the body can make its own glucose (gluconeogenesis)…

But I digress… so when I’d finally heard enough stories about the success people were having with carnivore (I read up on it for about a month), I decided to give it a try myself. I just dove straight on in without doing much research, I just trusted in the words of those who were doing it successfully, hoping that it would too, give me the edge I’d been looking for and help me to resolve those niggly last things that I still wasn’t feeling were 100%.

So in April, 2018, until November, I ate a largely carnivore diet. I ate meat, eggs and a little dairy. I strayed a little because it was totally new to me and I didn’t give up coffee completely. But the most important part:

I was no longer eating plants!

So what happened?

Overall, I felt great. My body took some time to adjust (I didn’t think I’d go through a “carnivore” flu but that happened!) I couldn’t really understand though how it was possible to be so healthy only eating animal protein… I mean a healthy diet is all about plants right? Plant based, a little protein? Fill your plate with veggies for the nutrients and the fibre, right?

Turns out, that’s not the case. So what changes did I see?

Well the first and most significant change was my energy levels. Who would have known that all I was missing was some additional meat! (A mistake I think many on keto make – they go nuts on the fat bombs and forget the importance of meat).

But seriously, all this extra protein saw me (and still continues to see me)…

  • Change shape (I’m 62-63kg/170cm and that remains constant, but the distribution of fat and muscle ratio is changing, my pants are looser than before)
  • Heal more effectively (I have wounds that appeared and wouldn’t heal so quickly on keto that are now clearing up faster than before, bruises seem to be a thing of the past…)
  • Improved quality of skin (cystic acne is something I’ve suffered from since I was 25. But as my gut heals on Carnivore, so too does my acne.
  • My gut is the best it’s ever been! (constipation? bloating? gas? what’s that?!)
  • Sleep is deeper and better, I wake up less groggy
  • No afternoon slumps at all, no yawning or sleepiness (despite all the protein)
  • Stress is always there (because that’s life) but I feel more able to manage now. I feel lighter, happier and like a weight has lifted on my mind.
  • Strength is improved. I can do more push-ups in the gym. Seriously. It was like I just woke up and could crank them out all of a sudden.
  • Muscle development is improving – and how could it not with all that extra protein (realistically though, this does take time)
  • My period is awesome. It’s regular (and that’s huge seeing I was on the pill for 17 years – probably why I’ve had the acne problem too) and it’s pain free. The sore boobs, cramps, super bad moods, heavy bleeding are all things of the past and it NO LONGER gets in the way of my life. I continue life as normal from going to the gym, to going out with friends etc… I never put anything off because I have my period, like I once did…

And all these improvements JUST by taking PLANTS out of the equation…

And you too can have all this with my
